Wildflowers I uses depth to create an experience that feels immersive and slightly disorienting. Bright pinks, yellows, and oranges create an energetic color story as flowers move forward, recede, overlap, and disappear behind the mat. No single position reveals the entire composition. Moving from side to side changes the relationships between its layers and brings hidden details into view, including bees tucked among the flowers. Abstraction and recognition shift back and forth throughout the work, encouraging movement and closeness rather than a fixed point of view.
